Specializing in childrenSome parents believe their child is too difficult to photography. 4B will work with your child, not giving up until the perfect image is captured. 4B uses several techniques to work with different children and their unique personalities.
4B photography has a studio but finds "on location" shoots produce better quality when working with children. 4B does not focus on the formal head and shoulder shot, instead we find that parents enjoy the "photojournalism" style more. Photojournalism adds a sense of space and time to an image that a single backdrop cannot produce.
Newborn shots should never be missed, from the first moments in the hospital, to the first weeks at home. 4B can go on location to most any hospital location to capture the first moments, producing images not hospital staff photographer could produce. Hospital staff photographers produce basic top down shots. If you have a camera, use it, don't over pay for pictures of no more quality than you can produce yourself.
Bringing several sets of clothing to a shoot is fine, but please limit it to 2 or 3. It takes several minutes to get a child settled for portraits, and changing clothes resets the timer and frustrates the child. They usually only survive 1 change, after 1, our techniques of getting the child's attention dwindles.
Typically, 4B does not typically stock props. We find that props look out of place one the image is printed and most viewers notice this awkwardness immediately. There are exceptions to this and please, if you have an item that you would like to include, bring it.
